Flower Shoe Clips
Tools: Scissors, wire cutters Needle & Cotton Materials: Fabrics – satin & organza PVA glue Veil Netting Clip on earring back Diamante Bead 9 x 4mm crystal bicones |
Step 1 Cut out 13 petal shapes – size accordingly to the size of your shoe. |
Step 2 Pinch the petals between your thumb and finger, so that they overlap slightly. |
Step 3 Using your needle & thread, pass the needle through both petals a couple of times to secure. |
Step 3a Bring your needle to the front of the flower petals. |
Step 4 Add another petal to the flower shape and secure to the others with your needle and thread. |
Step 5 Repeat until you have formed a full flower shape, and used all of your petals, layered together. |
Step 6 At the is point, spread a thin layer of PVA glue over the back of the petals. The glue dries clear and stiffens the petals in the process. |
Step 7 Cut a bow shape into your netting, slightly longer than your flower. |
Step 8 Sew onto the back of your flower, using stitches that are taken through the centre of the flower. |
Step 9 Turn your flower over, so that the best side is upwards. |
Step 10 Sew the 4mm bicone crystals in a small circle in the centre of your flower. Add the diamante button and sew in place too. |
Step 11 Remove the small loop, shown to the right of the clip (clip on earring) with a pair of cutters. |
Step 12 Placing the larger flat surface of the clip onto the back of the flower, sew the clip securely into place. Repeat the process to make another shoe clip, and clip on to your favourite shoes & wear with pride. |
